Our Team

Alina Shushkevich - Clinical Psychologist

BSci, BPsych (Hons), MPsych (Clinical)

  • Person-centred care is the guiding principle that governs my work as a psychologist. My style of practice is quite dynamic, which means that I take guidance from you about how you want your treatment and sessions to be structured. I will work with you to understand your unique concerns and goals for therapy.

The initial focus of therapy with me will be to build your insight and help you understand the unhelpful patterns that impact your daily life and cause you emotional, behavioural and relationship problems.

Drawing on this understanding, I will support you to develop practical skills to help deal with your difficulties and increase your psychological wellbeing. I believe that a safe and non judgemental therapeutic space is integral to this process. I have experience working with people of all age groups from 16+ but primarily work with adults, focusing on younger adults. I also provide couples therapy using a Schema Therapy approach.

I am also a Board Approved Supervisor and offer clinical supervision to provisionally and generally registered psychologists. I also offer primary and secondary supervision to psychologists completing the Clinical Psychology Registrar program.

  • In addition to these specialist areas, Alina also supports people with a wide range of other mental health concerns.

Parris Davenport - Clinical Psychologist

BNurs, GradDipPsych, BA (Psych) (Hons), MPsych (Clinical)

  • I think some of the most important qualities I hold as a person and clinical psychologist are that I am very warm, I am someone you can relate to and even though I take my work seriously I don’t take myself too seriously.

I work really hard to create a space where you can feel safe, cared for, seen and understood. I see us as a team, with the goal of working together to help you gain a deeper understanding of your own issues and build healthier ways of managing them, so that you can live a better life.

I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and working with complex mental health issues. I work with adults and young people aged 16+, and I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ identifying people.

I am also a Board Approved Supervisor and offer clinical supervision to provisionally and generally registered psychologists. I also offer primary and secondary supervision to psychologists completing the Clinical Psychology Registrar program.

  • I believe that everyone deserves to lead a happy and healthy life, whatever that may look like for them. Sometimes a mental illness, difficult life transition, or simply “feeling stuck,” can get in the way of that. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore and reflect on what you want out of therapy, and together, we can figure out how to get you there.

I like to use a blend of evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy (ST), while also allowing for flexibility and creativity, depending on what is right for you. My interpersonal style is warm and curious, but I’m not afraid to gently challenge you if you need it!

Grace Clarke - Registered Psychologist & Clinical Registrar

BA, GradDip(ProfPsych), MPsych(Clinical)

Grace Psychologist Carlton North Melbourne Everyday Psychology
  • Therapy is a deeply personal and individual experience, which is why I tailor my practice to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.

After working with individuals to understand who they are and their goals for therapy, sessions focus on building an understanding of patterns and challenges in a client’s life and exploring coping strategies to support them in reaching their goals.

Building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients is an important part of therapy, and so I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where individuals can explore challenging emotions, thoughts, and experiences with curiosity, empathy, and without fear of judgment or stigma.

My therapeutic approach is relaxed and affirming, and I enjoy providing inclusive care that celebrates the identities of neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Though I primarily work with adults, I have experience working with individuals aged 16+.

Jerome Psychologist Carlton North Melbourne Everyday Psychology
  • I am dedicated to helping people explore the sacredness of life and develop deeper connections with themselves and others.

I bring an open heart to understanding your unique values and worldview, balanced with pragmatic, goal-focused clinical guidance. I view our relationship as an integral part of the therapeutic process and offer an honest and compassionate environment to explore how we work together.

I have special interests and experience in working with mood and anxiety difficulties, suicidality, trauma, interpersonal issues, and existential concerns, including serious illness and fear of death. Additionally, I have clinical research experience centred around best practices for engaging men in psychotherapy.

My approach centres on exploring these influences to foster understanding and change.
